Board of Directors — How to Apply

Help eliminate sexual violence in SLO County!

The SARP Center is looking for talented and conscientious volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors to help lead and strengthen our programs for survivors of sexual assault, their loved ones, and the community. If you can contribute your time and leadership, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, please call SARP Center’s Executive Director, Kristy McCray, at 805-545-8888 or email ed@sarpcenter.org to see if this volunteer opportunity is right for you. We’re especially looking for folks with prior nonprofit board experience, fundraising and event planning skills, accounting experience, or those from the Latino community. The guidance, experience and input provided by an effective Board of Directors is an integral part of the SARP Center’s capacity building process, and helps to ensure our long-term sustainability. Board members are asked to serve a 2-year term, during which you would attend monthly board meetings, participate on at least one board committee and fundraise for the sustainability of vital services.

If you are interested in applying, you can download the Board of Directors New Member Application and email it, along with a resume, to ed@sarpcenter.org or by fax to 805-545-5841. Any questions may be directed to Kristy McCray at ed@sarpcenter.org.
