Vision, Mission & Values
Our vision is to create a world that is free of sexual violence. Our mission is to transform the lives of sexual assault survivors, their families and the community through hope, healing and empowerment. Our vision and mission are guided by the following principles:
People have a basic human right to live free of sexual violence. Advocacy, education, prevention, and public policy are the keys to social change. Everyone has a role and responsibility in doing this work. Collaboration and alliance building are keys to success in anti-sexual violence work. The voices of survivors drive our work; we empower them to make choices for themselves while providing compassionate services, dignity, privacy, and respect. Diversity and safe, accesible services are fundamental to creating social change and ending sexual violence. Sexual violence exists within a system of oppression. Sexual violence is preventable.
