Strategic Plan
The SARP Center recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. This milestone of longevity brought with it a renewed sense of urgency around the organization’s strategic direction for the next 30 years. To mark this turning point, the SARP Center engaged Sostrin Consulting to help facilitate the organization’s strategic development and planning process, which was designed to achieve important goals related to fund development, program expansion and increased organizational capacity. Sostrin Consulting facilitated a customized version of the Peter Drucker non-profit self-assessment process as a vehicle for achieving these goals. The SARP Center used the Drucker process to widen the discussion about the organization’s impact and to generate increased community commitment and contribution to informing future priorities. Beginning with an internal review of the agency, the steps included an external environmental scan and two large group discussions that were designed to answer the following five questions: 1) What Is Our Mission? As these questions were explored throughout the process, volunteers, staff, board members and key community partners contributed ideas from their own personal and professional experience that helped to shape a final plan. The results of this final plan are presented in detail in the following link. Strategic Plan |
